Sound of Music

h1 Monday, December 29th, 2008

For years I’ve dreamed of going to the Sound of Music Sing-a-Long-a at the Castro Theater. I just found out that there are two more nights of it. I’m trying to figure out if its doable with a 3 month old. Perhaps I’ll buy tickets for tomorrow night and if its too loud then we can leave. Hrmmm…. Sounds fun!

Christmas Eve

h1 Sunday, December 28th, 2008

On Christmas Eve we enjoyed a spectacular meal with my parents at Michael Mina in San Francisco. Delish!!

We started off with a bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose (one of my favorite celebratory wines). Then with dinner we shared a bottle of  1983 Château Margaux that my father brought up from his cellar.

Bouncy Chair

h1 Sunday, December 28th, 2008

When Maddox was born we purchased a Boppy Travel Swing, and a Bjorn Bouncy Chair. Up until recently we primarily used the swing. Now that Maddox is more aware, and has better muscle control, he seems to really dig the chair.

Waiting Room

While I was in with the dentist being tortured, Dallas and Maddox waited patiently.

Downtown Disney

h1 Sunday, December 28th, 2008

An afternoon at Downtown Disney…

Dallas’ company had their holiday party at Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney, a place I never knew existed before. I had a good time seeing all my friends, but left the whole Disney compound left me feeling generally unimpressed and overspent. I am pretty sure I would have felt differently had I actually gone to California Adventure or Disneyland itself. But we just rolled in Friday and back out on Sunday.

Happy Thanksgiving

As is the tradition, we headed up to Auburn, CA to celebrate Thanksgiving with the whole Kashuba family. It was Maddox’s first visit and I think he did really well.  😎

It was fun to be able to spend some time in nature and enjoy the simplicity of it all. From the couch you can see deer wandering by the large picture window. Many of them had a fawn in tow.

Fussy Baby is Fine

h1 Sunday, December 7th, 2008

The baby was checked out and is in full working order! No UTI, no nothing – just big growing baby. He now weighs in at a whopping 16.5 lbs.  He turns 12 weeks old tomorrow. Yay Maddox.  😎

Better be safe than sorry! Guess I jumped the gun on that one, though its nice that I now know where to go and what to do, should something more serious arise.

Maddox now fits into his cute little onsie that Georgina embroidered for him. Very crafty! The label says it is for 12 month olds! Guess we have a big boy.  😎
